Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
At Growing Roots we want all our patients to have access to quality healthcare—including care for certain concerns, such as STIs, that may also come with accompanying emotions. We understand the necessity to provide safe and judgement free care, particularly as it pertains delicate subjects such as STIs.
“More than 1 million sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are acquired every day worldwide, the majority of which are asymptomatic.”
Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) are incredibly common and often times very easily treated. In our office we offer testing and treatment for STIs, always with confidentiality and professionalism at the forefront. If you would like to request an appointment for testing or treatment, please fill out the form below or email our office to schedule an appointment.
STI Symptoms
An unusual discharge from the vagina, penis or anus.
Pain when peeing.
Lumps or skin growths around the genitals or bottom (anus)
A rash.
Unusual vaginal bleeding.
Itchy genitals or anus.
Blisters and sores around your genitals or anus.

Testing for STIs
STI testing is quick, easy, and it usually doesn’t hurt. There’s not a single test for all STIs — each STI has its own test. Prior to your test, we will help identify the best tests for your individual needs. STI testing may include:
A urine test
A cheek swab
A blood test
A physical exam
A swab (to gently take discharge or cell samples from your penis, vagina, urethra, cervix, anus, or throat.)
We are focused on providing expertise and guidance in your health care so that you can best determine which approach best aligns with your values and preference. We explore all options, utilizing both traditional and alternative medicine, before making a final decision with you on a treatment plan.
